Umbrella
Dec 11th, 2007 | By Kiwi | Category: UncategorizedpI’m sure everyone’s familiar with Rihanna’s song quot;Umbrellaquot;, having been over played on the radio for the past several months. As annoying as the song is, I have to admit I sorta like it. It’s catchy. /p pHowever, today’s the first time I’ve seen the video for it. My first thought was quot;disturbingquot;. Besides the fact that the video was almost completely irrelevant to the song, there are a few other things worthy of noting.a href=”http://musesandramblings.files.wordpress.com/2008/12/image5.png”img title=”image” height=”149″ alt=”image” src=”http://musesandramblings.files.wordpress.com/2008/12/image-thumb5.png?w=96amp;h=149″ width=”96″ align=”right” //a/p ol liWhat is the deal with the pointy shoes? I’m guessing Rihanna is a trained#160; ballerina? If she isn’t then the video would make even less sense. Plus the shoes just reminds me of hooker shoes. /li liDid anyone tell Rihanna that electricity and a body of water is a bad idea? I don’t know. Maybe it’s just the engineer in me talking. /li liWhy was she naked in gold body paint posing in a very quot;Atlasquot; type of way? How does it have any relevance to umbrellas? The only thing I got out of that was the warning symbol. Perhaps to warn of the electrocution that will soon follow from the dancing in water whilst lamps explode overhead. /li /ol pSomewhere along the line quot;artistic expressionquot; got out of hand./p
